Welcome to the PTFA page!

Nova Primary Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA), incorporates all parents/carers at our school as its members, and is run by a small, but dedicated team of volunteers.

Who we are

Our current officers are:

Chair: Carolyne Wheeler (Teaching Staff)

Secretaries: Louise Perkins & Caroline Lovett (Parents)

Treasurer: Faye Stone (Parent)

These posts are reviewed at our AGM, which is held every October.  There are a further group of 10-15 wonderful volunteers who regularly attend our meetings, and help out when required.

What we do

Our main aim is to raise funds which benefit our children at school.

To do this we organise and run fundraising events such as the Summer and Christmas Fayres, Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day sales, End of School Year Disco, and After School Tuck Shops.  We also support the school and pupils when needed, for example assisting during Enterprise Week.

We have also collected clothes and textiles for recycling, set up a successful online fundraising scheme through easyfundrasing and sold Christmas cards and tea towels designed by the children.

An important part of our role is to represent the school within the local area, and create a good community feel between the school, parents/carers and local people.
